Heather MacLaughlin Garbes

Heather MacLaughlin Garbes is currently Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, where she helped develop and maintains the UW Baltic Choral Library, the first collection of its kind in the United States. She is also Founder and Artistic Director of the Mägi Ensemble, a women’s ensemble that performs and records Baltic music.

Gary Cannon

Dr. Gary D. Cannon is one of the Seattle area’s most versatile choral personalities, active as conductor, musicologist, and singer. In 2016, he founded the Emerald Ensemble, a professional chamber choir engaging the region's leading ensemble singers. Since 2008 he has served as conductor and Artistic Director of two prominent community choirs.

Nathan Shiu

Nathan Shiu is a pianist, singer, and music educator (specializing in teaching voice) based in Bellevue and serving the Greater Seattle Area. He earned a B.A. in Music (emphasis in Composition) from Whitman College in 2005. After graduating, he served as Staff Accompanist for Whitman College's Music Department for eight years, the last three years of which he also served as an Adjunct Voice Teacher.

Teresa Lin

Mezzo-soprano Teresa Lin has been a freelance singer in the Seattle area since 2008, including alto soloist for Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater. An avid art song recitalist, Teresa enjoys creating recitals that immerse the audience in a multi-sensory experience. One of her concerts at the W.W.

Yvette Adam Burdick

Dr. Yvette Adam Burdick brings people together through music, inspiring novices and veterans alike to discover their capacity to bring music to life and share it with others. As a conductor and teacher, Yvette is known for challenging singers to perform at their best while learning more about music and building community. She has enjoyed a wide breadth of music leadership responsibilities over the course of more than thirty years as a music professional, including leading the Skagit Valley Chorale since 2014.

Kathryn Weld

Mezzo-soprano Kathryn Weld comes to the Northwest, having performed extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Her credits include two solo appearances with the New York Philharmonic, one with Charles Dutoit conducting and the other under the direction of Kurt Masur. She made her Carnegie Hall debut to critical acclaim in a performance of Bach's Mass in B Minor with Musica Sacra. While living in Germany, Ms. Weld was a featured soloist with such prominent ensembles as the Bavarian Radio Choir, the Consortium Musicum of Munich, and the Prague Philharmonic.

Lisa Cardwell Pontén

Lisa Cardwell Pontén is an experienced soloist in the Northwest, performing with professional and community ensembles in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and Vancouver, British Columbia. Lisa has appeared as soloist with Ensemble Alcatraz of San Francisco as well as many Seattle-based groups such as The Versailles Ensemble, Circa 1600, Seattle Choral Company, St. Mark's Compline Choir and City Cantabile Choir.

She has recorded on the Musical Heritage and Focus labels and also for radio and film; and has recently completed a CD with Opus 7.
