Registration Policy

Midsummer Musical Retreat values diversity, equity, and inclusion and is deeply committed to providing equal opportunities and treatment to all of our participants and staff.  All of our decisions regarding our participants and staff are made without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, age, national origin, citizenship, veteran, military, marital status, sensory, physical, or mental disability, genetic information, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable law.

• An application is "complete" when the non-refundable deposit is paid online or a check is postmarked

PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE MMR will attempt to accept everyone who completes their registration by March 1. An ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE consisting of the Steering Committee and the Registrar will exercise discretion in admitting campers as needed to meet the admission goals of MMR. The committee may take into account musical balance and leadership needs, registration date, previous MMR participation, family, travel, musical, and other connections between campers, and may use a lottery to determine acceptance.

• Applicants will be notified by postal mail of their program acceptance between April 1 and April 15.

HOUSING On-Campus housing will be assigned by the Registrar. We cannot announce finalized housing assignments until July when we are informed by Whitman of available beds. PLEASE DO NOT ASK, we will tell you as soon as we can.

• All fees are due June 1

• Applicants who withdraw will not receive a refund of the deposit.  See Refunds

• Applicants who are not accepted into the program will receive a full refund.

• Applicants submitting registrations after 3/1 will be accepted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee. Notifications will be sent by email or by phone.

• We will maintain wait-lists as needed. Wait-listed applicants will receive a full refund if they are not admitted. Wait-listed applicants must pay full fees on acceptance.
