Choir The Festival Flute Choir performs arrangements
and original compositions for multiple flutes (piccolo, C
flute, alto flute, and bass flute).

Improvisation
Conducted by Greg Yasinitsky.
Open to instrumentalists and vocalists, this class will cover the basics of improvising:
chord progressions, what scales to use with what chords, articulation styles,
and how to develop a melody.

Ensemble Conducted by Rob Tucker.
Open to all participants who read rhythmic notation,
this elective will get more than just your toe a-tappin!

Sight-Singing
Have fun developing your sight-singing skills using a variety of methods.

String Orchestra Conducted by Roger Nelson.
An afternoon ensemble for all strings. Repertoire drawn from all eras. Lots of sight reading;
low key performance. Very fun!

Vocal Chamber Ensembles
for Instrumentalists Standard small ensembles coached by Vocal Faculty.
NOTE: It is important to fill out the Vocal Skills evaluation to enroll in this elective.
